“What our friends are saying...”

Having a baby at 23 weeks is exceptionally traumatic and as parents you are left feeling helpless and terrified. However, we can honestly say that Amanda’s support and input entirely transformed our neonatal experience. She is a warm, calming, positive presence with incredible expertise regarding premature babies and a wealth of advice as to how to nurture a baby’s development, both in and out of the NICU. Amanda also has the confidence and authority to advocate on behalf of parents and babies and challenge the status quo when appropriate. No matter what kind of day we were having, when we saw Amanda, we would breathe a sigh of relief. We would wholeheartedly recommend Amanda’s services to anyone who needs support throughout their NICU journey and beyond.

Amanda was an incredible support and guide to us as we navigated the unknown depths of NICU. Even with the COVID-19 restrictions in place, the warmth and care that Amanda showed us and our daughter was palpable. Amanda was the key person who helped us navigate becoming parents during our 5 weeks NICU admission. Guiding us through lots of ‘firsts’ - her first bath, massage, positioning as well as emotional support about how we could support our daughter in reaching her milestones. Post NICU, Amanda continued to be a huge support, encouraging us as our daughter navigated her next milestones. Her attention to detail and extensive knowledge really gave us the confidence to adjust to life post-NICU. We are forever grateful that Amanda supported our family thought our NICU journey.

“Baby massage was a life line for Arlo and I in those early days. The days where I wasn’t sure who I was and how to care for a baby. Amanda created the most welcoming environment and created a safe space for me to learn how to bond with Arlo. It was also great for meeting other mums too, we were able to share openly, be encouraged (Amanda is so encouraging), ask questions and relax. We learnt techniques that we put into action for our bedtime routine which we still use 2 years on. I’m so grateful for Amanda’s baby massage course, it shaped me as a parent and my relationship with Arlo. Would highly recommend .

“Your approach to OT work and how you communicate with both parents & babies is honestly remarkable, you made us feel confident in ours and Edie’s abilities and kept us grounded and subjects light and manageable during exceptionally difficult times. Above all you are a fun human to be around so a big big thank you😊.”
